About DKUK – DKUK is a pop up salon that will be taking over Ancient & Modern Gallery (201 Whitecross St, EC1Y 8QP) throughout August. It has been initiated by artist Daniel Kelly who will be creating an environment in reaction to the historic meaning of the word salon – a regular gathering of writers, artists, held in a fashionable household.
The space will play host to a programme of time based art works, that change daily, while Kelly (who is a trained hairdresser) will be stationed in the gallery cutting clients hair.
You can book an appointment according to who will be performing or showing work on any given day.
